Ann Marie Ford, a homemaker and ex-employee of the Pasco County School District, entered her heavenly abode on Thursday, January 9, 2020. She passed away peacefully at the Bear Creek Nursing Home in Port Richey FL where she was admitted following treatment for a bout of pneumonia. Ann Marie started her beautiful life in Brooklyn, N.Y. on February 25, 1942. She went on to work on Wall Street in an investment brokerage firm for several years before relocating to New Port Richey FL where she found a new calling as a Pasco County School District employee at Seven Springs Elementary School. She retired from the school district after having served several decades helping young children whom she adored.
Ann Marie loved to travel and had made both domestic and international trips to faraway places in Paris, France and Dublin, Ireland. The Ireland visit was her attempt to discover the warmth and culture of her Irish heritage. Her flights and cruises to warm spots in the Caribbean – St. John, Dominican Republic and San Juan constituted some her favorite beach vacations.
Ann Marie was married to John H Nutting who pre-deceased her in the year 1971. Ann Marie was remarried in 1976 to Lawrence G. Ford, a veteran of the Vietnam War, and the family settled in Florida. Ann Marie had 6 children - Kathleen, Ann Marie, Robert, Mary, Michael, and Sean of which two are deceased – Ann Marie Triolo and Robert H. Nutting
Ann Marie is survived by her brother Donald F. Gately, her children Kathleen M. Murthi (Sriram Murthi), Mary Nutting Watts, Michael R. Nutting (Pamela Nutting), Sean P. Ford,11 Grandchildren, and 2 Great Grandchildren. She spent her last days surrounded by her loved ones and was cherished by all.
A formal viewing is planned for Monday January 13,, 2020 from 2:00-4:00 PM and 6:00-8:00 PM at the Faupel Funeral Home, 7524 Ridge Road, Port Richey, FL 34668
The funeral mass will be on Tuesday, January 14, 2020 at 10:00 AM at Our Lady Queen of Peace Catholic Church, 5340 High Street, New Port Richey, Florida 34653.
Interment is being planned at the Florida National Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida alongside her Late husband Lawrence G. Ford – information on this will be disseminated once details have been finalized.
