Brenda, the eldest of eight children was born on January 12, 1951and unexpectedly passed away on November 22, 2024 Pasco Co Florida.  Brenda and Joel met in 1977 from the start they were deeply in love and inseparable, they would actively seek out adventures and lived a long and happy life together.  Brenda’s role as a sister and wife lovingly emphasized, her unconditional love, strength, and generosity that extended beyond her immediate family to encompass a wide network of loved ones. She chose to live her life -- through acts of generosity and kindness and providing for those around her. Brenda lived life to the fullest and especially loved spending time with her family.  Brenda was the owner and CEO of Learning Loft in Palatine IL. She was first a teacher and we find solace in remembering her unwavering passion for education. Teaching was not merely a profession but a calling. Her infectious enthusiasm inspired us to approach learning with open minds and kindled a love.  She is survived by a loving family: Joel Friedman beloved Husband, Mother Mildred Milligan, sisters Mary Jane Land, Judy Chappell (Kenny Chappell) Gladys Graham, Jackie Hall. ( Paul Hall), Jennifer Dooley (Chris Dooley) and Brother Leslie Milligan. As well as 53 nieces and nephew’s, Brenda’s loss is deeply felt by her immense family and all those who knew and loved her We will all miss her more than words can say. Brenda was preceded in death by her Father Handsford Milligan, sister Berniece Milligan.
