It is with great sorrow that we announce the passing of our beloved mother Charlotte Vincent. Her soul left this earth at 10:54pm on Wednesday October 23, 2024. We are heartbroken as we mourn our sweet momma but are rejoicing for the celebration at the feet of Jesus.
Charlotte Jeanne Vincent, age 85, of New Port Richey, Florida died October 23, 2024, in New Port Richey, Florida. Born June 24, 1939, in East St. Louis, Illinois, Charlotte was the oldest of 3 children of Marcel and Doris Tarris (nee Harris). Raised in Granite City, where she met her high school sweetheart David G Vincent, whom she married on May 2, 1959. They raised their family the Troy/St. Jacob area until retiring to Florida in 1988.
Mom was always a free spirit and loving individual. She was a decorative homemaker, an excellent cook, enjoyed playing cards and working her puzzles, and she took pride in loving her family.
She was preceded in death by her beloved husband of 47 years Dave. Parents Marcel and Doris Tarris and brothers Marcel “Butch” and William Tarris.
She is survived by her children Chris (Debbie) Vincent, Michelle “Lady” (Brian) Fetterer, Tim (Kim) Vincent, Amy (Brian) Wernle, Patrick (LeAnne) Vincent, and Ginger (Greg) Potter. Grandchildren David (Kadu Martins) Vincent, Danielle (Rich) Nalven, Preston Vincent; Travis (Erin) Fetterer, Felicia (Mark) Frey, Bobby (Fiancé Nicole McLaughlin), Harley (Adam) Diekmann; Emily (Patrick) Stille, Jesse (Kathleen) Vincent; Heather (Zach) Marchello, Michael (Skylee) Wernle; Hayden and Lillian Vincent; Vincent, Colin and Jackson Potter. Sixteen great grandchildren, one great-great grandchild, two sisters-in-law, and several nieces and nephews.
A celebration of life is to follow in Illinois in the Spring of 2025. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital www.stjude.org or the Marliere Hospice House www.chaptershealth.org.
