Holiday

Diana R. Farino, a vibrant spirit who touched the lives of all who knew her, passed away on December 28, 2024, in New Port Richey, Florida. Born on February 26, 1947, in Brooklyn, New York, Diana was a true New Yorker at heart; full of life and energy that could light up any room. Her larger-than-life personality made her unforgettable to everyone she encountered.

Traveling was more than a pastime for Diana; it was an expression of who she was. She loved cruises; where she would explore new cultures while indulging in one of her favorite pastimes: shopping! Whether it was finding unique treasures or simply enjoying time spent browsing through stores with friends or family by her side.

A survivor at heart, strong-willed and determined; Diana faced life's challenges head-on. Those close to her admired how she navigated life’s ups and downs without ever losing sight of what mattered most; the love she had for her family and friends. Her resilience and strength have become part of the legacy she leaves behind; a testament not only to how much she cared but also how fiercely she fought for those she loved.

A devoted mother and grandmother, Diana cherished every moment spent with her beloved daughter Diana Damalos and grandsons Nicholas and Dimitrios Damalos. They were the center of her universe. She poured love into every moment spent with them-whether it was sharing stories from her past or creating new memories during their adventures together. Her grandsons were the joy of her life, and she took immense pride in watching them grow and flourish.

In remembering Diana Farino’s remarkable journey through this world-the laughter shared over coffee or shopping in her favorite stores; we celebrate not only what made her unique but also how deeply loved she will always be by those fortunate enough to have known her.

Diana is survived by daughter Diana Damalos; stepson Danny Farino; grandsons Nicholas and Dimitrios Damalos; along with countless friends whose lives were enriched by knowing such an extraordinary woman; and above all else-the indelible mark left upon our hearts.

A funeral service will be held at St George Greek Orthodox Church on January 11, 2025 as we gather together to celebrate the remarkable life that was lived so fully by our dear Diana R. Farino-a shining star whose memory will forever illuminate our hearts.
