Frank J. DeLoma

February 11, 1955 — August 27, 2024

Holiday

Frank Joseph DeLoma loved spending time golfing with friends, gardening in the backyard and watching the New England Patriots play football. He liked to watch Fox News and to go bowling on Saturday nights. He was known for his quick-witted sense of humor, the twinkle in his bright blue eyes and his unending love of sweet treats.

Born on Feb. 11, 1955, in Bridgeport, Connecticut, to Louis and Mary DeLoma, Frank was the youngest of five children. He left home at only 15 years old and got a job at an auto repair shop after learning how to fix cars. It was at that time he met the love of his life, Cindy Lombardi, and the two had been inseparable ever since.

A few years later he married Cindy and they had two children. He supported his family by driving a commercial tractor trailer for several years. He eventually attended night school, earned his GED and worked his way up through management positions. In 2002, Frank and Cindy moved to Florida to take care of elderly parents, made their home in Holiday and enjoyed early retirement.

He was a loving husband, father and grandfather. He taught his family old school values of hard work, respect, loyalty, kindness, honesty and owning up to one’s mistakes. He was generous to people in need and always kept a little cash in his pocket, just in case.

Frank passed away peacefully in his sleep on his son’s birthday, August 27, 2024, after a short battle with cancer. While his faith in Jesus Christ carried him to his heavenly home, Frank will be missed dearly by his family, friends and all who knew him.

Frank is survived by his wife Cindy, his daughter Christine Mann of Austin, Texas, and his son Frank DeLoma, of Shelton, Connecticut. The family also includes son-in-law Steven Joseph Mann, daughter-in-law Jackie DeLoma, plus four beautiful grandchildren: Briahna Havis, Aidan Mann, and Olive and Remmington DeLoma.

Frank is also survived by his siblings in Connecticut: brother John DeLoma of Fairfield and sister Marilyn Razdrih of New Haven. He is preceded in death by his brother Louis DeLoma, Jr. and sister Cindy Sepesko.
