GERALDINE A HAY

December 27, 1945 — December 9, 2024

Port Richey

It is with profound sadness that we share the news of Geraldine "Gerry" Hay's passing on Monday, December 9, 2024. Our hearts go out to her loved ones as they navigate this difficult time.

Gerry is survived by her three devoted children, Richard Hay and wife Lisa Hay, Laura Kordas and husband Nicholas Kordas, and Lisa Svetlik and husband Clifton Svetlik; her sister Joan Smith; and her sister-in-law Camille Smith. Her legacy lives on through her 10 grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren, who will deeply miss her love and guidance.

Born on December 27, 1945, in Bronxville, NY, Gerry was the daughter of the late John Robert Smith and Geraldine Bocchino Smith. She pursued a career as a beautician and moved to Florida in 1973 to raise her family.

Gerry's kindness, generosity, and infectious spirit touched countless lives. As a devoted mother, she always put her children first and reveled in their accomplishments. Her friends and family will deeply miss her warm smile and lively presence especially playing cards and going out with friends.

The family would like to extend their heartfelt gratitude to the compassionate team at Bear Creek Nursing Home for their exceptional care and support over the past few years. Special thanks also to Alexis, Phyllis, Tina, and Cat for their love and dedication to Gerry.

A memorial service and mass will be held on February 8, 2025, in Texas, with details to follow. As we celebrate Gerry's life, we take comfort in the memories of her love, laughter, and fiery spirit.
