James Edward Christensen

Jim was born in Ashtabula, Ohio, to Norman and Ina Christensen. Jim married Eleanore Irene (Ola) Christensen, daughter of Paul and Mary Ola, April 25, 1969, and were together 56 years. In 1983, Jim and Eleanore founded Hernasco Testing Laboratory in Hudson and worked together until retirement.

Jim and Eleanore were also charter members of Faith Baptist Church on Ridge Rd. in Port Richey, Florida. Jim was very active in “Soul Winning” and, over the years, lead many to Jesus. Eleanore was active for many years in the churches Deaf Ministry teaching “Sign Language”.

Jim was preceded in death by Eleanore on January 25, 2025. Although he was very ill, it is believed he died of a broken heart. He was also preceded in death by his parents. Jim leaves behind two daughters, Jami (Nicholas) Childs in Leroy, Ohio, Leann (Ralph) Kendzerski in Delaware, Ohio, a stepson Robert (Sue) Schultz in Rock Creek, Ohio, and a brother Jack (MaryAnn) Christensen in Port Richey.

A memorial service at Faith Baptist Church will be announced shortly. Burial will be in Grace Memorial Gardens in Hudson Florida.
