Kathryn "Kay" Flaherty

Kathryn "Kay" Flaherty, a beloved sister, aunt, and great-aunt, known most affectionately as Auntie and Cece, passed away March 16, 2025, at the age of 94.

Born and raised in Queens, New York, a graduate from St. Vincent Ferrer High School, she moved to Florida in the 1970s and is a retiree of the State of Florida. Kathryn lived a long and meaningful life marked by quiet strength, sharp wit, and a deep love for her family. She carried with her the heart of New York, and those who knew her will remember her for her warm presence, her stories, and her unwavering devotion to those she loved.

She was preceded in death by her children Kevin Reardon and Donna Williams. She is survived by her brother, Robert Flaherty; her sister, Mary Flaherty; and several nephews and nieces, including her cherished niece Kristine Olsen-Burnes, nephew-in-law Steven Burnes, and great-niece Rhyan Burnes; all of whom were blessed by her kindness, wisdom, and enduring love.

Kay's legacy lives on in the memories she created with her family and friends. She will be deeply missed, but her spirit will remain in the hearts of those who knew and loved her.

A private memorial will be held by the family at a later date.
