Louise Raimondi passed away February 1, 2025 at her home in New Port Richey. She moved here 44 years ago from Yonkers, New York. She taught Religious Instruction at 2 churches in Yonkers; St. John the Baptist and St. Ann. She moved to New Port Richey and taught Religious Instruction at Our Lady Queen of Peace. She was then recommended by the Director of Religious Education to be the Director of Religious Education at a newly formed parish St. James the Apostle Church pastored by Father Michael Devine. The first Masses were at Faupel Funeral Home. The first Religious Education classes were held in the original Queen of Peace Church on Washington St. That building is now in Sims Park as a historical building. She was also a lector an Altar Server and a Eucharistic Minister in church and for the homebound. She received the St. Jude Medal for her volunteer work. She also served for 2 years as President of American Legion Post 1506 Lady's Auxiliary. Her hobby was art and taught classes at Regency Park Civic Association for several years.
She had 5 children. Philip and Christine pre-deceased her. Her other children Francis (Cheryl) Raimondi of New Port Richey, FL and John (JoAnn) Raimondi of Yonkers, NY and Steven (Carole) Raimondi of Valrico, FL; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
