Regina Roble, known affectionately as Jean to her friends, passed away peacefully at age 93 with her children by her side.
Jean was born November 19, 1931, in Baltimore, Maryland, graduating from Catholic High School in 1950. After high school, she met her husband Joe at a Dale Carnegie course they both attended and were subsequently married in 1953. They raised a family of five and lived in Virginia, Vermont, and New Hampshire before settling in Florida in 1980. Jean worked in various positions throughout her lifetime and retired in the early 1990’s.
Jean is survived by her children Gerard (Diane), Jeffrey, James (Mary), Jeanette Wadsworth (David), and John (Kim). She has 10 grandchildren Elizabeth Davidson, Andrew Roble, Mark Roble (Julia), Sam Roble (Macey Hirsch), Michael Wadsworth (Brett), Kaitlin Toler (Robert), Robert Wadsworth (Jess), Caroline Gumz (Jason), Ben Roble, and Tyler Roble; 2 great grandchildren Derek and Lexi with a third due in July; and several nieces and nephews.
Jean was a devoted Catholic, attending mass and serving the parishes where she lived. She travelled to Europe twice on pilgrimages where she visited the local churches, birth places of saints, and sites of miracles. Along with family and friends, she visited Mother Angelica at EWTN in Alabama several times. Jean wore her faith proudly and frequently told those she met: “The family that prays together, stays together.” She often gave out Guardian Angels pins to those she saw as a way of protecting them.
Jean was proceeded in death by her loving husband, Joe, her parents Frank and Marie, and her siblings Edward, Herman, Alma, Helen, and Rita. She now joins them in Heaven.
