Robert Lee Fleming, 93 of New Port Richey Florida went to be with his Lord October 30, surrounded by wife Phyllis and family. Formerly from Waterford, Michigan, Bob will always be remembered for his kindness and generosity. Born June 10, 1931 in Pontiac, Michigan, Bob grew up the second oldest child to the late Ray E. and Mahala B. Fleming, older sister Marion (deceased), younger sister Ann, and younger brother Ronald. Bob started work at a Eisner Brothers’ diner in Pontiac and met his future wife Phyllis Koop there. They were married on March 25, 1950, celebrating 74 years of marriage this year. He was a loving father to Alfred (and Angela) Fleming, Donald Fleming, James (and Michele) Fleming, and Cynthia (and Curtis) Williams. He had eight grandchildren and sixteen great grandchildren. Bob started his career at Fisher Body GM in Pontiac, Michigan, working there for 37 years. He retired in 1986 and worked in real estate part-time. Bob liked buying and selling houses. He also liked bowling and traveling. Bob and Phyllis were snowbirds and enjoyed spending the winters at Corkscrew Woodlands in Estero, Florida. They then moved to New Port Richey and enjoyed living by the gulf as well as continuing to spend time in Estero. Bob was a member of Eagle’s Landing Baptist Church.
