Ronald F. Sutterlin

Ronald Sutterlin was born November 2, 1933 in Butler, Pennsylvania to Fredrick Sutterlin and Esther (Miller) Sutterlin. He had two older sisters: Esther August and Dorothy Sesaro all predeceased.
He graduated from Bradford High School in Bradford, Pa. in 1952 and attended Penn State University for one year and was a walk-on for the football team. He joined the Army and served four years in Germany and played football for the Army. After returning from Germany, he became a pro-golfer in 1957 and enjoyed his morning walks on the rolling greens.
After marrying his wife in 1958, Margaret J. (Pehonsky) Sutterlin they moved to New Port Richey, FL and had four daughters: Stephanie Smith, Marcia Fish, Julie (Chittum) Smith, and Kelly Sutterlin.
In 1959 he established Ron's Barber Shop. As the business expanded, he opened several locations Southgate Shopping Center, Tarpon Springs Mall and Hudson Shopping Center.
Ron was a kind, generous man, wonderful provider to his family and community.
He is survived by his wife, Margaret Sutterlin; his four children Stephanie (Frank) Smith, Marcia (Eric) Fish, Julie (Scott Chittum and George)Smith, and Kelly Sutterlin; grandchildren Sara Smith, Adam (Jessica) Smith, Nicholas (Jenny) Smith, Ashley (Rob) Carver, Cody (Elida) Chittum, Amanda Chittum, and Erica Fish; great-grandchildren Robyn and Emily Cook, Jason Escobar, Juliana, Landon, Ashton, Houston, Lofton, Alaska, Paisley, Lincoln, Kennedy, Carter Smith, and Laurel Chittum; step grandchildren Marie Hitson, Roy, Franklin and James Smith.
