Thomas A. Franklin

Thomas “Tom” Alva Franklin passed away on Tuesday, June 25, 2024, peacefully surrounded by family, at the age of 69 in New Port Richey, Florida.

 Tom was born on Friday, August 13, 1954, in Panama City, Florida to parents, Alva Franklin and Mary Louise Maier Franklin. 

Tom was preceded in death by his parents; brother, William Franklin; and daughter in law, Anna Franklin. He is survived by his loving wife of 41 years, Laura E. Trumbull; two children, Neil Thomas Franklin and Donald Tyler Franklin, Sr. (Maria); sister, Anne Geeraerts; and four grandchildren, T.J., Andrew, Emma, and Elizabeth Franklin. 

Tom was an avid reader with a love of golf and fishing. Any given Sunday, he could be found in front of the TV rooting on his favorite Tampa Bay Buccaneers. He was an astute salesman with an entrepreneurial spirit. After a successful career in sales, Tom achieved his life goal of owning and operating “Cigars and Pars” in New Port Richey which he opened in 2002. He loved getting together with his fellow duffers and cigar aficionados to reminisce about low rounds and great shots. He will be greatly missed by those who love him. 

Interment will be at Heartwood Preserve, 4100 Starkey Boulevard, Trinity, Florida 34655 at a future date.
