Eugene Wiskow was born in Terry, Montana on January 14, 1922. He grew up in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania. After high school, Eugene joined the US Navy and was stationed in Pearl Harbor, Hawaii when on December 7, 1941 his ship, USS Helena CL-50 was hit with a Japanese torpedo as well as Japanese aircraft.
