BLISS, Kenneth R., 85 of New Port Richey, FL, he passed away on June 25, 2020 at Marliere Care Center Hospice. Ken was born in Painesville, Ohio on March 8, 1935. He was raised in Thompson, the fifth son of Otto and Lottie Bliss. On June 6, 1962 Ken and Rose Camplese were married in Ashtabula, Ohio at St. Joseph Catholic Church. They preceded to Clearwater, FL. In 1974 Ken and Rose along with their boys moved to New Port Richey, FL. Ken was a licensed building contractor and an accomplished master carpenter who believed in excellency in his craft which was why Bay Aluminum flourished. He passed his knowledge on to his sons and the young men frequently gathered with their heads under the hood of a car or some mechanical thing to be repaired. The two main outlets in his life were dancing at which he excelled and his motorcycles, a love which he passed on to his sons. Ken loved boating, water skiing and other sports which kept him in the great outdoors. He found time for cruising the Gulf of Mexico and the Mediterranean with his wife. In 2005 Ken built the dream house his wife designed, it was his great pride. He was a good father and good friend of which there were many. He was always ready to help a friend or a stranger in need. He was proud to see his children succeed in their endeavors. He enjoyed his family in as much time as God has allowed, they were his major love. He was a past member of The Junior League, Moose and Elks. He attended St. James the Apostle Catholic Church and was a current member of The Knights of Columbus. Ken is preceded by his parents, Otto and Lottie, five brothers, James, Harry, Henry, Donald and Phillip. He leaves his devoted wife of 58 years Rose, three sons, John of Ocala, FL, Wayne and Greg of New Port Richey, his daughter, Diane Ingalls of California, granddaughter, Megan and great granddaughter, Maci of Georgia, many nieces and nephews. He will be buried at St. Joseph Catholic Church Cemetery, Ashtabula, Ohio. A gathering was held at the home in lieu of visitation. Many thanks for the flowers, cards and condolences. Donations may be made to: Parkinson's Foundation or Marliere Care Center HPH Hospice. He was a good man who will be missed. " It's a far far better place I go than I have ever known."
