James Reid Craig Campbell

James Reid Craig Campbell, 70, passed away on August 22, 2017 in New Port Richey, FL. Born in Chicago, Illinois, he graduated from Sarasota High School in 1964, and Stetson Law School in 1975. He practiced criminal defense and family law for more than 40 years. Jim lived a vibrant life embracing a love of knowledge, travel, and social justice. Survivors include daughter Marjorie Campbell Stickel; son James Reid Craig Campbell II; granddaughters Eila Rose Stickel and Layla Sunshine Campbell; as well as a step-daughter from a prior marriage DebbieLee Marie Dougherty. Preceded in death by mother Marjory Craig Campbell; father Heber Hale Campbell; and a stepson from a prior marriage, Raymond Anthony Smith. Loved ones are invited to celebrate his life at a memorial service on Saturday, September 16th at 11:30 am at Faith United Methodist Church, Hudson FL, 34669. Ashes will be scattered during a private ceremony in Sarasota, FL.
