Helen E. Shepherd

Helen E. Shepherd, 91, of Port Richey, FL, passed away on Sunday, May 21, 2017. Her loving companion Kenneth Whitford was by her side. She was predeceased by her husband Raymond Shepherd. Her parents were Rev. Kalman and Otilia Toth. Her seven siblings were Charles, Kalman, Alexander, Frank, Louis, Otilia and Julia. She greatly cherished her nephew Alex. Formerly from Staten Island, NY, Helen moved to Florida in the early 1980’s. She was employed as a telephone operator for Nassau Smelting and Refinery. Helen was a devout lifetime member of the Telephone Pioneers, the Order of the Eastern Star, TOPS Club and the Timber Oaks Community Association. Traveling around the globe filled her with joy. Helen is survived by her lifetime companion Kenneth Whitford, dear friend Helga Carroll, nephew Kalman (Elizabeth) Toth and great niece Erin Toth. Interment to follow at Florida National Cemetery in Bushnell, Florida.
