Evelyn V. Womack

Evelyn V (Ginny) Womack, Mamaw, age 77, passed away peacefully on Saturday January 14, 2017 surrounded by her family. Ginny was born on February 5, 1939 in Tifton, Georgia, one of seven children. She married her husband Spencer M. Womack in 1956, who was a New Port Richey fireman. They had three children Beverly, Wanda and Spencer, Jr. Ginny was a stay at home mom and later worked for the Pasco County School Board. Once retired, she spent many afternoons helping out in the office with her son at Smith and Womack Land Surveying. She kept busy with her family, many friends and loved spending time with her grandchildren and great grandchildren. Ginny enjoyed going to the monthly breakfast meetings with the retired New Port Richey Fireman’s club, had season tickets to the plays at the Richey Theatre, loved the Chasco Fiesta parades and events and was a diehard Tampa Bay Rays and Lightning fan. Ginny is survived by her children Beverly Womack, Wanda Chapman (Larry) and Spencer, Jr. (Karen); brother Carlton; sister Marie; four grandchildren Rob, Yana, Monique and Brad and 2 great grandchildren Xzarius and Zavaeh Ginny was pre-deceased by her husband Spencer M. Womack, her parents, Henry and Evelyn Sumner, her sisters Carolyn, Betty, Agnes and brother Everett. Funeral service will be Saturday January 21, 2017 at 12:00 noon at Faupel Funeral Home. There will be a time of viewing and visitation from 10:00 AM until 12:00 noon. Interment to follow at Meadowlawn Memorial Gardens in New Port Richey. Everyone is invited to Beverly Womack’s home after the cemetery service. Her address is 9121 Lido Ln. in Port Richey.
